Design approach

Concept

Hybrid work happens in three places at once, which is difficult to draw. The cover solves it by showing all three — a coffee shop, an office tower and a house — arranged around a red panel, with one office chair standing on a crossing as the constant object that moves between them.

Typography

Commercial nonfiction lives or dies on hierarchy. Title, then the word that sells the idea, then the promise in plain language, then the author. Each step changes size, weight and colour, so the reader gets the proposition in about a second.

Back cover

The back is built as a piece of marketing: a pull quote in a red band, a short description, a two-column checklist of what the reader will learn, and a closing line. The structure is deliberately reusable, so future books can be set up as a matching series.
